Youth Acting Together - Africa projectThis ”Youth Acting Together” project is an initiative between 4 youth organisations from Denmark, Malawi, Portugal and Botswana. The aim of the programme was to facilitate and support the active citizenship of young people around local and global issues, particularly those themes related to the Millennium Development Goals. Five key objectives have been developed:
The start date of the project was 01.11.2009 and the end date of the project was 30.10.2010.
The 4 venues: Botswana National Youth Council (Gabarone, Botswana), ACV (Amadora, Portugal), Yonesco (Zomba, Malawi) and Jammerbugt Ungdomsskole (Brovst, Denmark).
The activities consisted of APV for the youth exchange in Botswana, training of youth leaders in Botswana, jobshadowing held twice in DK and one in Malawi, and a youth exchange Malawi.
The main achievements of the project have been: promoting active citizenship among young people with focus on the MDG’s and promote tolerance and mutual understanding. | ||
